Our architect recommended AllBuilding, which was a big plus in their favour, but we still had three other building firms round to quote. Price is very important of course, but we quickly realised that if our house was to be invaded by builders, approachability and how confident we were of being able to work with them was equally, if not more important. Speaking of planning, we liked the way AllBuilding were able to make faster progress by allocating their people to works on several areas at once. For instance, they literally raised the roof and protected it from the elements at the same time, while making a start on the stairs that were carefully measured up and then put together off-site before installation.
All in all, we’re delighted with the result. AllBuilding were useful in helping us spec. the loft conversion and especially in sourcing materials for the new bathroom. Michael’s trade contacts and buying power was at times overwhelming!”
